Welcome
6th Grade Resource Many times parents ask what they can do to help their
children be successful in school. Here
are some things we have found to be beneficial. You can help your child by reminding them
of and assisting them with the following items: USE THE PLANNER
Write down tests & projects
and prepare for them in advance Use it for reminders for things like Field
Trips, Picture Day etc. Missing assignments destroy grade
averages! Designate a specific time &
place to work Get help if you need it (see
below) STAY ORGANIZED Use dividers and keep your binder
organized Remove unnecessary papers from
your binder and backpack Keep your locker neat and orderly
CHECK SUPPLIES Always have pencils, paper, gym clothes
and other supplies needed for
school every day READ Encourage frequent reading. They are not too old to read aloud with parents! 6TH
