The following information explains the categories in my Skyward gradebook. Graded Work: 25% These are homework or in-class assignments such as response journals, vocabulary assignments, shorter writing assignments, grammar practice, study questions, etc. Quizzes: 20% Quizzes may be given to check if assigned reading has been completed, after several grammar exercises on a particular topic, or to check comprehension of literature selections we have read in class. Daily Grade: 25% This is the Independent Reading grade given for each nine weeks based on daily participation and amount of total reading completed. Tests: 30% This category includes unit tests, major writing assignments such as essays and reports, projects, and oral presentations. Click here to access student records.
